WICHITA — A 52-year-old man accused of striking and killing a pedestrian while speeding down a darkened street last month is scheduled to go to trial in late June.

Kevin Lamont Williams Sr. is charged with involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated battery for his role in the April 3 accident that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Wichita police have said Williams was one of two men who were speeding down the 1100 block of North Cleveland shortly before 10 p.m. on that Saturday when the pedestrians were struck as they crossed the street.
