FAA approves Yingling for Skycatcher repair, inspection

Yingling Aviation has become the first facility to receive Federal Aviation Administration approval to maintain, inspect and alter Cessna Aircraft's new Skycatcher, the company said today.

Yingling, the fixed-base operator at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport, is also the assembly site for the light sport aircraft, the parts of which are manufactured in China.

"This means we can not only perform maintenance on the airplanes, we are approved to sign off on the repairs and return them to service," said Yingling's vice-president of repair station operations, in a press release.
