Budget slashes funds for public broadcasting

Could there really be a life without Click and Clack, Big Bird and Garrison Keillor?

Possibly.

This past weekend, the state Legislature passed a budget that moved more than $900,000 out of the Public Broadcasting Operating Grants — a cut that is more than half the $1.6 million in grant money Kansas public broadcasting stations were expecting to receive.
