Shockers take down No. 16 Texas Tech 85-83

Scratch two more reasons to doubt Wichita State off the list. The Shockers proved they can beat a good opponent, and they proved they can win a close game.

“I was curious to see how we react when stuff gets going negative,” guard Clevin Hannah said. “We know what it takes to win now.”

It’s hard to doubt the words of the point guard who make the game’s turning-point three-pointers. Then he made them stand up with six straight free throws in the final 40 seconds of Saturday’s 85-83 win over No. 16 Texas Tech at Koch Arena.
