DUI patrol nets 13 arrests

Sedgwick County Sheriff's officers made 13 arrests during a DUI saturation patrol over the weekend — including five for driving under the influence.

The patrol was conducted between 11 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. Three people were arrested on outstanding warrants, three for driving with a suspended license, and two for drug violations.

Another 24 citations were written for various traffic offenses, authorities said. The patrol consisted of one sergeant, four deputies and two reserve deputies.
