Shockers win first-round NCAA volleyball tournament match

AMES, Iowa—Don’t serve to score, serve to fluster.

That was Wichita State volleyball coach Chris Lamb’s stated and listened-to directive Friday as the Shockers defeated No. 22 Saint Louis 3-1 in the first round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.

Thirteen blocks and disruptive serves led to the 25-20, 25-21, 18-25, and 25-16 victory.
