Hatch leads Shockers to fifth straight victory

With every swish, last season’s shooting problems seem more and more distant for Wichita State guard Graham Hatch.

Hatch scored a career-high 21 points in Saturday’s 72-45 win over South Carolina-Upstate at Koch Arena. He made 5 of 7 three-pointers to help the Shockers improve to 7-1 with its fifth straight victory.

“Nobody’s worked harder,” WSU coach Gregg Marshall said. “He is a very good shooter, and it was timely tonight.”
